Your support will provide the Association with the necessary funds to continue to expand its programs. How to Make A Donation There are many different ways to help.
Monetary donations to the Brain Injury Association of Michigan is responsibly managed and carefully allocated. If you have any questions, please call the office at (810) 229-5880 ext. 17. The Brain Injury Association of Michigan is a not-for-profit that has been designated a 501(c)(3) agency. Gifts to the Association are tax deductible. The Association is registered with the State of Michigan’s Attorney General’s Charitable Trust section (MICS 12846). All forms are available by contacting the Association (via e-mail or by phone at (810) 229-5880). As a convenience to our website visitors, a number of our forms are available for download and printing as word files. Legacy Society In 1999, the Brain Injury Association of Michigan's Legacy Society was established. Annually, the Society recognizes its newest contributing members at the Spring Tribute Dinner. In addition, selected individuals who have contributed to the brain injury field, or have shown a demonstrated leadership in working to improve lives of persons with brain injuries or their families are selected as an honorary member. Goal: To develop a perpetual fund from which the investment income will provide the financial base of operation support for the organization. Objectives:
To become a member: An individual or family is welcome to join the Society. There are no requirements for joining other than a willingness to support the mission and programs of the Brain Injury Association of Michigan, as well as the desire to contribute financially as described by the financial categories. Thomas J. Constand Jim & Kiki Constand instilled in their son the value of service, community, and family. Tom continues to weave these values into his work. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in hotel, restaurant and institutional management from Michigan State University. Professional Service Award
Heidi Reyst, Ph.D. Harvey & Sally Reyst taught Heidi at a young age the importance of working hard. Their commitment to a solid work ethic definitely shaped Heidi into the person she is today. The Brain Injury Association of Michigan's Development Committee actively seeks nominations throughout the October – December time frame each year. However, Nominations may be made throughout the year. Exceptional Operating Support The Brain Injury Association of Michigan wishes to acknowledge the individuals or corporations whose combined contributions of $5,000 or more during 2006 helped support operational expenses. Volunteer Opportunities Become involved in your area or statewide! A variety of volunteer opportunities are available to meet the Association’s mission and vision. Chapter and Support Group Leadership Providing opportunities for local support to people with brain injuries, family members and friends is a founding principle of the Association. The Association's goal is to have Chapter and Support Group availability statewide. For information on starting a local group in your area, contact the Association office at info@biami.org. Join a Committee The Association has several committees that provide advice and oversight for many of the activities of the Association. If you are interested in learning more about the committees of the Association, please contact us at info@biami.org Join the Legislative Network Join the Legislative Network. We need your help! The Brain Injury Association of Michigan has an active Legislative Network of people concerned about brain injury that we keep informed of current policy matters. We rely on people like you to contact their legislators to discuss how policies may help or harm people with brain injury.
