Barbara Stahura Approximately 15-20% of brain injury patients experience persistent post-concussive symptoms (headache, dizziness, anxiety, neck pain, reading and concentrating difficulties) that have proven very difficult to treat. We describe how Vertical Heterophoria (a form of binocular vision dysfunction) has been found to be the cause of these symptoms in up to 50% of these patients, and how treatment with prismatic spectacle lenses effectively treats these symptoms.
