Congratulations to the following 2011 Legacy Award Recipients

Community Service & Leadership Award

John C. Cornack, MPM, NHA

John Cornack has over twenty years of service dedicated to the healthcare field. He is a graduate from Carnegie Mellon University with a Masters of Public Management degree.  He is well-versed in corporate program development and implementation, as well as, staff recruitment and retention. Mr. Cornack has a wide range of training experience for any audience size. He enjoys discussing subjects such as; Healthcare quality assurance, continuous quality improvement (CQI), customer service, sales performance techniques, quality indicator analysis and training, trends in healthcare and computer training.  With his unique management style, Mr. Cornack is a ‘hands on’ administrator. Guests on campus should not be surprised to see him shoveling snow, playing cards with clients or conducting an exercise group in the mornings.

John returned to Eisenhower Center in October of 2004 as Program Director. He quickly adapted to the clients and staff, learning every detail to increase the quality of lives of the clients that he serves. His position changed slightly to a Vice President role, working on increasing personal touches and ‘Wowing’ the customer.  Now as the President of Eisenhower Center, Mr. Cornack is on the pulse of preserving and improving the brain injury rehabilitation system.  He holds positions on the Michigan Brain Injury Providers Counsel (MBIPC) and the Coalition to Protect Auto No-Fault (CPAN) as Treasurer and President respectively.

Outside of his professional life, he spends his time with his lovely wife Lisa.  For 27+ years they have been inseparable even when living apart.  Their greatest pride and joy is their daughter Alexa, a most special individual. She is about to bring another miracle into their family and bless John and Lisa with a grandchild.  John is an active basketball coach, tennis player and sports enthusiast.  Every great sports team comes from the Pittsburgh area, just ask him. At John’s side two or three days per week is his wonderful English Golden Retriever, Montague. Staff and clients alike enjoy giving their attention to the facility mascot and therapeutic pet.

Many wonderful themes present themselves when in a conversation with John but a consistent message will always shine through…

Finding value in every step we take is where happiness and life’s little fulfillments are experienced.  Here’s to finding those individuals who will be part of our next adventure.
